About the position

The FT Evening Emergency Shelter Case Aide position at Open Door Mission involves providing compassionate support to individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, or trauma. This full-time role requires working from Friday to Tuesday during evening hours, focusing on maintaining safety and security standards while assisting guests at the emergency shelter. Responsibilities
? Provide support and encouragement to adult guests at the emergency shelter.

? Maintain safety and security standards of the Emergency Shelter.

? Assist with CPR, First Aid, and Narcan administration as needed.

? Engage in peer-to-peer employment opportunities in mental health and addiction.

? Participate in a 2-hour shadowing opportunity as part of the interview process.

Requirements
? CPR Certification

? First Aid Certification
,
? 3 years of relevant experience or peer coach certificate or equivalent

? Ability to work full-time hours from Friday to Tuesday, 4pm-12am.
