ABOUT US We are a 2+ year tutoring company that hires experienced teachers who have the ability to effectively tutor any child between grades K-8 needing help in Math and Reading/Writing. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Reading and/or Math Tutor will be responsible for delivering virtual or in-person individual (1 tutor: 1 student) guided reading and/or math instruction to elementary-aged and/or middle-school students. Tutors will be trained and employed by L.A.B. Productions, Inc. and the curriculum will be provided by L.A.B. Productions, Inc. (hereafter described as the “Provider”). Duties for Tutors include • tutoring students in the subject area(s) of deficiency as described by the Provider • following all policies and procedures of the Provider Tutors will work varied hours per week in a 1 tutor: 1 student ratio per the Zoom platform or at a library with no tutoring on major holidays or Sundays. The tutor may be assigned more than one student. Candidates should be flexible in scheduling. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Cleared the required Background/Fingerprinting Screening. Completed at least 60 credit hours, in a teacher education or related program. Available to tutor at least one hour per day(s) of availability. Experience teaching reading and/or math to deficient students a plus. Have a working knowledge of the Zoom platform and word processing. Have a strong customer friendly attitude. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to speak with parents about student’s progress. Bilingual skills helpful (Spanish or Haitian Creole). Valid driver’s license with good driving record, and consistent access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance required.
