We are seeking an experienced communications professional to lead strategic public relations initiatives on a part-time contract basis. This role will drive visibility across key company moments, including product launches, executive thought leadership, and data-driven storytelling, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and agency partners. The ideal candidate will shape media narratives, craft compelling brand stories, and provide strategic counsel during sensitive or high-impact situations. This position offers flexible hours averaging 20 per week, allowing for adaptability to business needs while maintaining work-life balance. You will have the opportunity to influence the organization’s brand perception and strengthen relationships with media and stakeholders. This is a remote position open to U.S.-based independent contractors. Accountabilities: • Manage agency relationships and oversee day-to-day PR execution across corporate, consumer, and executive visibility initiatives. • Lead proactive media outreach and storytelling around company news, product launches, and data insights. • Support corporate communications, including executive thought leadership, new C-suite hires, and narrative development. • Partner with Brand, Partnerships, and Data teams to create cohesive earned media campaigns and maintain message consistency. • Contribute to consumer-focused PR programs by highlighting trusted service providers and user communities. • Provide strategic counsel on emerging issues and manage ad-hoc communications needs as they arise. Requirements: • 7–10+ years of PR or communications experience, spanning both corporate and consumer programs (tech, marketplace, or consumer services experience preferred). • Proven ability to manage PR agencies and shape media narratives in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously. • Comfortable working with executives and communicating clearly, confidently, and discreetly at all levels. • Strong media relationships and exceptional writing skills, able to translate complex ideas into compelling stories. • Independent, strategic, and execution-oriented with cross-functional collaboration experience. • Eligible to work as an independent contractor in the U.S. Benefits: • Competitive hourly rate: $120–$130, depending on experience and scope of work. • Flexible, part-time schedule averaging 20 hours per week. • Remote work from anywhere in the U.S. with flexibility to adjust hours based on workload. • Opportunity to work on high-visibility projects and influence brand perception.
