Senior Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join American Express and help build the future of our cloud-based applications. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cloud engineering and has the ability to drive our cloud engineering efforts in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, as well as an in-depth knowledge of cloud architecture and infrastructure. They should be a self-starter and have the ability to rapidly develop innovative solutions to complex problems. The successful candidate should have experience in developing and deploying cloud-based applications on public or private cloud platforms, as well as a strong understanding of security, networking, and virtualization. In addition, they should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities: -Develop and deploy cloud-based applications on public or private cloud platforms -Collaborate with other teams to ensure cloud engineering efforts are aligned with business objectives. -Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and architectures. -Develop automated solutions to reduce manual labor and increase scalability. -Ensure cloud-based systems are secure and compliant with industry standards. -Develop and execute cloud engineering strategies and roadmaps. -Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve cloud performance and reliability. -Design and implement reliable backups and disaster recovery plans. -Provide technical guidance and support to team members. -Develop comprehensive documentation for cloud-based solutions. -Monitor and track cloud-based systems performance. -Train and mentor junior cloud engineers.
