Essential Qualifications: What We're Looking For To succeed as a substitute teacher with Scoot Education, you'll need: A background in or passion for education. A commitment to putting students first and celebrating their success. A growth mindset and an empathetic nature. A drive to be the best version of yourself. To take a TB Risk Assessment & Live Scan (we'll cover the cost). Either a 30 Day Substitute Teaching Permit or a CA Teaching Credential (having one of these will increase your work opportunities). Preferred Qualifications: What Sets You Apart While not mandatory, having experience in or knowledge of: Special Education (SpEd), Resource Specialist, or IEP support. Subjects like Math, Science, STEM, English, ELA, History, Social Studies, PE, Music, Art, Drama, or Theatre Studies. Working with diverse age groups, from Kinder to High School. can make you a more competitive candidate and open up more opportunities for you.
