Role Overview and Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, interacting with pet parents, and providing them with the best solutions for their pets. Your responsibilities will include: Customer Service: You will be the face of PetSmart, welcoming customers, facilitating easy checkout processes, and ensuring that they find everything they need. Your excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers will be essential in creating a positive experience for pet parents. Pet Care: You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the pets in our stores, including fish, reptiles, birds, and small animals. Your attention to detail and ability to follow procedures will be crucial in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the pets. Merchandising & Inventory: You will be responsible for executing merchandising, stocking, and pricing strategies to ensure that pet parents can find what they need when they need it. Your organizational skills and ability to work efficiently will be essential in maintaining a well-stocked and visually appealing store. Career Development and Growth Opportunities Gain Experience: You will have the chance to work in different areas of the store, including customer service, pet care, and merchandising, gaining a broad range of skills and experience. Passion for Pets: You must have a genuine passion for pets and a commitment to providing exceptional care and service to pet parents. Availability to Work a Variety of Shifts: You must be available to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, days, and evenings, as well as weekends and holidays. Previous Retail Experience: Previous experience working in a retail environment, particularly in a pet-related field, would be an asset. Knowledge of Pets and Pet Care: Knowledge of pets and pet care, including different species, breeds, and health conditions, would be beneficial. Leadership Skills: Previous leadership experience or training would be an asset, as you will have opportunities to develop your leadership skills and potentially move into a management role.
