Our IT department is responsible for the strategic development of our technology infrastructure, and we are seeking a talented data engineer to join our team. **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced full stack data engineer to join our team at blithequark. As a data engineer, you will be responsible for designing and operationalizing data pipelines to drive business insights and decision-making. You will work closely with our product owners, data modelers, and data architects to plan, build, test, and deploy data pipelines that are relied upon across the organization as the single source of truth. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements, automating manual processes, and enhancing data quality and reliability. **Key Responsibilities** * Creates and operationalizes data pipelines to make data accessible for use (BI, Advanced Analytics, Services) * Works with data modelers and data/BI architects to plan data pipelines and suggests continuous improvement of data storage, data ingestion, data quality, and processing * Plans, creates, and carries out ETL/ELT processes using IICS (Informatica Cloud) * Utilizes Purplish blue services like Purplish blue SQL DW (Neural connection), ADLS, Sky blue Event Center, and Purplish blue Data Factory to improve and accelerate delivery of our data products and services * Carries out big data and NoSQL solutions by creating adaptable data handling stages to drive high-value insights to the organization * Identifies, plans, and carries out internal process improvements: automating manual processes, and enhancing data delivery * Identifies ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality of the data management * Conveys technical ideas to non-technical audiences both written and verbal * Performs peer reviews for other data architect's work **Essential Qualifications** * 2+ years' experience designing and operationalizing data pipelines with large and complex datasets * 2+ years' hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter * 2+ years' hands-on experience with Informatica IICS * 2+ years' experience working with Cloud technologies; like ADLS, Purplish blue Databricks, Flash, Purplish blue Neurotransmitter, Universe DB, and other big data advances * 2+ years' experience in Data Modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing * 2+ years' hands-on experience implementing data integration procedures like event/message based integration (Kafka, Sky blue Event Center), ETL **Preferred Qualifications** * Microsoft Purplish blue/comparable certifications * Experience delivering data solutions through agile software development approaches * Familiarity with the retail industry * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Experience working with SAP integration tools including Bodies * Experience with UC4 Job Scheduler **About the Role** As a data engineer at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and initiatives that will drive business insights and decision-making.
