Our team members are the backbone of our success, and we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning. **Key Responsibilities:** As a Temporary Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers * Completing special assignments and other tasks as assigned **Essential Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent required * Previous customer service experience in a retail environment preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends **Preferred Qualifications:** * Previous experience working in a retail environment with a focus on customer service * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Availability to attend training sessions and complete PPLs as requested by Manager or assigned by corporate **Skills and Competencies:** * Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, patients, and team members * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** As a Temporary Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to: * Develop your customer service skills and knowledge of our products and services * Work in a dynamic retail environment with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences * Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals who share your passion for customer service * Attend training sessions and complete PPLs to enhance your skills and knowledge * Pursue opportunities for advancement and career growth within the company **Work Environment and Company Culture:** blithequark is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
