Assistant Merchandise Manager - Apparel & Accessories

About the position Artful Home is looking for a team player, who appreciates what we do, to join our Merchandising team in Madison, WI. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team in merchandise management for the Artful Home Private Label Brand of Apparel in developing, managing, and curating the product assortment under the mentorship of the Senior Director of Merchandising. This position will proactively gather product information, accurately maintain data, coordinate samples, and manage other seasonal deliverables. Includes business analysis and reporting, collaborating with the cross-functional teams, and ensure strategy execution. The majority of the work requires being in-office in Madison, WI with the potential for some occasional remote work. Responsibilities • Generates and presents reports weekly and quarterly. Synthesizes data from multiple sources to understand the business and drive growth. Reports on key takeaways and proposes actionable next steps. • Partners with the Director of Merchandising to build and lead the strategy for apparel catalog and website, develops seasonal catalog assortment plans, identifies key stories, curates catalog spreads, and improves productivity to drive profitable business growth. • Responsible for weekly/ monthly sales analysis, hindsight, road-mapping and ad hoc analysis. Participates in weekly and monthly meetings to present sales results. Performs and reports consumer research and competitive analysis. • Manages merchandising creative turnovers of catalog spreads, identifying sample needs, and participating in preproduction meetings, and overseeing styling and accessorizing. • Manages merchandising turnover to eCommerce team inclusive of identifying key stories and items for website and emails. • Manages the existing processes, systems, and calendars and actively participates in continues improvement to drive efficiency. Requirements • 2 or more years of related experience and/or an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines • Strong attention to detail Nice-to-haves • Experience with Excel pivot tables is preferred.
