The California Department of Social Services is dedicated to serving and supporting Californians in need. They are seeking an Analyst I to work as a Call Center Agent, responsible for analytical work related to the State's hearing process and assisting claimants with their requests. Responsibilities Responsible for varied analytical work related to the State's hearing process for a wide variety of programs, such as Medi-Cal, Cal-Fresh, Covered California, In-Home Support Services, etc Works directly with claimants and authorized representatives (ARs) to file oral hearing requests via Virtual Contact Center (VCC) Responsible for accurate data entry into the Appeal Case Management System (ACMS) and processing of incoming and outgoing calls Receiving telephone calls from claimants or authorized representatives, initiating verbal hearing requests via ACMS, and referring customers to the appropriate county or responsible agencies, and will include access to various information systems that contain protected claimant information Skills The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired A Statement of Qualifications or Supplemental Questionnaire must be submitted along with your application to be considered for this position Candidates are required to complete the Questionnaire in addition to completing an Examination/Employment Application (STD 678) You are required to complete employment history on the application form (STD 678) If you are meeting minimum qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts for verification Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must provide proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date in order to be considered Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s) The following items are required to be submitted with your application: Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678, Resume (optional), Other - Supplemental Questionnaire (SQ) Company Overview California Department of Social Services funds several programs that assist underprivileged and vulnerable children and adults.
